Hi, I’m Anna DeShawn.

I’m a Chicago-born social entrepreneur, storyteller & community organizer.

I build streaming platforms which center & celebrate BIPOC & QTPOC creatives. Media has always been my passion and in 2009 I turned that passion into a reality when i founded E3 Radio, an online radio station playing Queer music & reporting on Queer news with an intersectional lens. In 2020, I expanded my media reach when I co-founded The Qube, a podcast production company and curated platform to discover the best music & podcasts by BIPOC & QTPOC creatives.

Today, these media platforms are multi-award winning and in March 2023 won an Ambie for our Queer News podcast.

Most recently, I was inducted into the Chicago LGBTQ Hall of Fame because of my commitment to the Chicago LGBTQ community. I am determined to ride media into its next era by utilizing digital media streams to tell the stories and play the music that deserves to be heard.

In no particular order I’m also a daughter, wife, sister, and friend who loves cooking and running.
